In the now popular tradition of making TV series which follow on from popular movies (Fargo, Bates Motel) Damien is a spin on the original Omen movie from 1976.
25 years later Damien is 30 years old and working as a war photographer. He comes across some eeire things and starts to question everything in his life, including that really odd birthmark which looks suspiciously like the numbers of the beast. Here's the first trailer for the show from A&E.
It all looks pretty creepy, and it also seems like we're going to be rooting for the lead character to some degree as a person who is drawn to evil by his birth but might just be trying to strive against it. Brit Bradley James (Arthur in Merlin) will be playing Damien Thorn and movie veteran Barbara Hershey is also in the mix.
Glen Mazzara developed the show and you've definitely seen his name around, with writing and producing credits on everything from The Walking Dead to The Shield. The show will debut on the A&E network in the States on the 7th of March 2016.
