Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres on the 24th of April 2016 and this year it will finally overtake George R.R. Martin's source novels A Song of Fire and Ice.
What that means for viewers is a whole host of surprises, and no chance of spoilers from those who have been doing the homework ahead of time. And you won't get much new information from this latest tease, but it is creepy stuff indeed.
That's the Hall of Faces, which made its first appearance in the HBO show in season 5 as a welcome slice of the fantastical in an otherwise (mostly) grounded series. Yes there are dragons but otherwise this isn't exactly high fantasy. The faces we see are mostly those of characters long since dead, including Sean Bean's Ned Stark who was done away with in shocking fashion in season 1. And there are recent losses too, like Jon Snow - who may or may not and probably will be back for the new episodes. Somehow.
You can be sure, more faces will added to the list of the dead before the current run is over. Probably in episode 8...
