I'm a big fan of the Kung Fu Panda movie series for a few reasons - they're gorgeous to look at with silly humour and sweet messages but the main one has to be the action which is better than most actual blockbusters. So thankfully there's another one on the way.
In Kung Fu Panda 3, Po finds himself back in the loving embrace of his panda village, that is until a new threat emerges, this time voiced by the marvellous J.K. Simmons. Here's the latest trailer with plenty of kicks and cuteness.
Ah it just looks like a lot of fun, and a good way to kick off movie year 2016. The first film came out in 2008 and the second in 2011 and I think that's a good thing - the filmmakers seem to take their time until they have something worth telling, which would be a good lesson for other franchises to learn.
Jack Black is back as Po alongside returning players Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen and Lucy Liu. Newcomers include Simmons, Bryan Cranston and Kate Hudson.
Kung Fu Panda 3 is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni and is in cinemas in Ireland in March 2016.
