It only feels like a couple of weeks ago that the new live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie appeared and it was actually only a little over a year in the past, but there's already a sequel ready for screens.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows has a first trailer, check it out.
Honestly, I thought the first film was pretty good fun - even if it seemed to be afflicted with some kind of ADD. The action was decent and the effects were pretty impressive, and that all looks to be true for the sequel. One potential issue is the serious character bloat, with the return of Shredder as well as new baddies Bebop and Rocksteady - with the latter played by Irish wrestler Sheamus. Though he's all but edited out of the trailer.
Megan Fox is back and it looks like she might actually have something to do this time around and Will Arnett is always good value. They've got a new goodie in the form of puck whacking Casey Jones, played by Stephen Amell from TV's Green Arrow. Oh and Tyler Perry is doing something that I suspect will be annoying.
There's a new director in Dave Green, who did decent work on the kid friendly Earth to Echo, and Michael Bay is still pulling some strings in the background. Hey, it looks entertaining.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows is set for release in June 2016.
