Trainspotting really hit a nerve when it released in 1996, with the film going on to be a big hit especially with young audiences and that iconic poster gracing bedroom walls around the world.
A sequel has been whispered about for years, with various issues between cast and crew being sorted out over a long period and an attempt made to get increasingly busy folks like director Danny Boyle and star Ewan McGregor back together.
Now it's finally happened. Trainspotting 2 is currently shooting on the streets of Edinburgh and now we have an official teaser trailer.
Naturally enough, it's all footage from the previous film with the main news being that shooting officially starts today (though footage of Ewen Bremner has already leaked) and that it's going to be in cinemas in January 2017.
That's a pretty quick turnaround but you can be sure that this one isn't going to be chock full of special effects. It's pretty interesting to see Boyle head back to Scotland after taking on projects like Steve Jobs and Slumdog Millionaire too.
