Wayward Pines made its way onto TV schedules in 2015 as a collaboration between thriller director M. Night Shyamalan and Fox. And the first season was successful enough to earn a second go around.
Season 2 kicks off on the 25th of May, again based on events in the novels by Blake Crouch. It's all set in a strange small town in Idaho called Wayward Pines, where anyone who attempts to leave is stopped in the most permanent way possible by the local sheriff, played by Terrence Howard.
There will be a further 10 episodes in season 2 with a new story and characters belonging to the same universe. Jason Patric, Hope Davis and Djimon Hounsou join the cast for the new episodes, and you can spy some of them in the trailer below.
It seems there's a three season plan for the show at the moment, and things are going to ramp up to a seriously creepy finale. Ratings for the first series were generally positive.
