War on Everyone NSFW trailer- from the director of The Guard

The Guard and Calvary director John Michael McDonagh has been talking about his new film War on Everyone for a long time now.

Back in April 2014 he said that Garrett Hedlund And Michael Pena were up for the lead roles as to 'confrontational corript cops' in Alabama. Hedlund eventually dropped out with Alexander Skarsgard filling the hole and now the movie is almost here.

And it looks about as outrageous as you might expect McDonagh's first feature to be. Here's the latest trailer, which continues to be not safe for work and probably a very accurate idea of what the film is like.

There's something pleasantly chaotic about McDonagh's work, especially at a time when the cinemas are overflowing with blockbusters developed by committee. This is ribald and raw and probably more than a little offensive, but at least its not another film borrowing from the middleground and desperately hoping to get attention.

The film premiered in Berlin back in February and has been earning some tip top reviews, as you can see in the trailer. It's out in Ireland on the 7th of October, 2016.
