It's easy to forget that Final Fantasy has been existing in the movie world as well as the video game one for many years. Mostly that's because the films themselves are pretty forgettable or, in the case of The Spirit Within, don't really appear to have anything to do with the long running game franchise.
The latest is called Kingsglaive and you can watch the first 12 minutes right here.
Unsurprisingly it's all a bit of a mouthful, complete with narrative from none other than Lena Heady, who you probably know from Game of Thrones. The rest of the English voice cast includes Sean Bean and Aaron Paul, so at least there's that to look forward to.
Apparently this story takes place in the same universe as the upcoming Final Fantasy XV, but it's not clear if any of the story will crossover. It sure is pretty and action-packed, and it's getting a limited cinema release this month.
You'll also be able to get it on home video in November when the game comes out.
