Pixar movies take a long time to make. In the case of Finding Dory, it appeared in cinemas a full 13 years after the classic original animated film.
Now they weren't working on the film for every second during that huge span of time but it did take them a long time to break the story and then many years to make sure things were just about perfect to carry on the legacy of the first film.
That includes trimming out scenes that just don't work, no matter how much fun they might be, and you can get a glimpse of what didn't make the final cut in the upcoming home video release. Here's a little tease direct from Disney.
More hijinks with Dory and her friend Hank, which makes up the bulk of the main film. The bits and pieces they get up to here are fun but far from necessary, and some similar content does appear in the finished version. Still it's always nice to see how these films are expertly shaved down to get to just the right running time.
Finding Dory is out on blu-ray and DVD in Ireland on the 25th of November, 2016.
