The story ofJames Gralton is fairly nutty - a man who set up a shared space in a local hall for dances, learning and helping the poor and ended up being branded a communist.
And its all the more crazy because its true - the man was eventually deported from Ireland in 1933 after a long battle with everyone from the Church to the IRA. And now Ken Loach is bringing Gralton's tale to life in a new film called Jimmy's Hall.
The first trailer for Jimmy's Hall has just appeared on line, with the cast including Andrew Scott, Jim Norton and Barry Ward as Gralton himself.
Check out the trailer.
Jimmy's Hall is set for release in May 2014.
