R2-D2 is known for his loyalty and bravery, and it turns out that underneath that hard metal shell is a heart of gold. The little droid danced with a Star Wars superfan in a wheelchair at the Star Wars Celebration convention in Anaheim, California.
The droid approaches the boy before doing a little dance. The boy is clearly delighted and joins in, giggling throughout the experience. It’s a delightful video that should brighten your day, as it did his.
Chris Lee, who controlled the bot, said that this was the second interaction that they had with “this awesome kid.” His enthusiasm and sheer joy was infectious and he, the boy’s parents, and onlookers ended up giggling along too. Chris said that it was “one of the highlights of this convention.”
The Star Wars Celebration event over the weekend brought plenty of exciting news for Star Wars fans. We saw another trailer for the upcoming Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens, and EA and DICE revealed the trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront. It promises to be quite the year.
