The latest poster from The Wolverine sees our hero crouching on a rooftop in Tokyo in the rain, clutching a katana sword. The motion poster is a nice touch with the driving rain bouncing on the rooftop, and the lights of Tokyo blinking and flashing in the background.

The Wolverine will see Logan (Hugh Jackman) travelling to Japan to train with a samurai warrior. There he meets Mariko Yashida, but her father is a violent crime lord who doesn’t hit it off with Logan. Little else is known about The Wolverine, which is being described as a standalone movie rather than a sequel to 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The Wolverine co-stars Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Tao Okamoto. It is directed by James Mangold and is expected to arrive in cinemas on July 25th, 2013 in Europe and July 26th, 2013 in North America.
