Zach Braff takes a trip down memory lane in Video Games: The Movie
If you’re interested in the history of video games and the roots of what we play today, you may be interested in the first trailer for Video Games: The Movie.

The documentary, from executive producer Zach Braff, features interviews with the likes of Cliff Bleszinski, Alison Haislip, Hideo Kojima, and Wil Wheaton, among others, and sees them talk about their experiences with video games and what makes them so special. Everything from the early arcade days to the latest phenomenon that is competitive gaming is covered on this journey through the ages.

"Everyone loves a great video game, but in recent years, they’ve evolved into something way beyond what any of us who grew up playing an 8-bit system could imagine," said Dylan Marchetti of Variance Films. "But regardless of whether you're up gaming until 3 a.m. or haven't played a video game in decades, there's something for you in this film, and we think audiences will be delighted."

Video Games: The Movie debut on iTunes and other digital platforms on July 15th and will see a cinema release in the United States and Canada on July 18th.
