Fears were growing last night of a Stone Roses implosion after Ian Brown laid into drummer Reni onstage in Amsterdam.
Brown, whose reformed group plays Dublin’s Phoenix Park on July 5, called Reni a ‘c**t’ at the Heineken Music Hall.
The crowd were expecting an encore of I Am The Resurrection but Brown told the crowd “the drummer’s gone home”.
The frontman added: “What can I say, the drummer’s a c**t.”
A source at the show said there may have been a problem with the drumkit, though this has not been confirmed.
The gig was only the third in a summer-long tour for the indie icons.
