You have my word, your job is safe
X Factor boss Simon Cowell has backed Louis Walsh and told him: "You’re job is safe."
The music mogul has thrown his weight behind the Kiltimagh pop svengali amid claims he will be dumped from the hit show over Saturday’s bullying row.
And yesterday Cowell sent Louis an early morning text from his L.A. base to tell the Irish manager he will not be sacked. It has been reported that Simon (52) is plotting to axe Louis (59) after he caused controversy by claiming Misha Bryan had been bullying his acts.
But The Star can exclusively reveal that Simon texted his pal and told him: "You have my word, your job is safe." A show insider said: “These claims that Louis is getting the elbow is utter nonsense. He’s going nowhere."
But one person who hopes Louis is sent packing is the latest booted-out wannabe, Sami Brookes (30). Nearly 14 million tuned in on Sunday night to see Sami get voted out of the competition after Louis chose to save Kitty Brucknell instead.
Now the bitter wannabe says she believes Louis needs to be replaced. In her first interview since leaving the show, she told The Star: "I think Louis should be replaced on the panel. It’s a new show, there should be all new judges. I think he’s old fashioned now.”
Last night show sources accused Sami of “sour grapes” because she was out. An insider said: “Louis gave her 110 percent support but she grew less and less interested in the competition and more interested in her new found fame.”
