Multi-platinum selling Canadian superstar Michael Bublé will jet into Dublin this Friday, for an event that will see the unveiling of the Brown Thomas Christmas windows and the switching on of the Grafton Street Christmas Lights. The event will be hosted by Ryan Tubridy from 6pm.
Traditionally the Brown Thomas Dublin Christmas windows and Grafton Street lights herald the beginning of the Christmas season. This year the windows will celebrate the majestic world of ballet and depict the enthralling stories of The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. The dramatic windows of Dublin’s iconic store will reveal a beautiful fairy tale-like scene that will no doubt enchant and delight shoppers this festive season.
Later that night, Michael will join a host of guests on The Late Late Show to perform two tracks from the already platinum selling ‘Christmas’ album, and will chat to Ryan Tubridy about why Christmas is his favourite season!
The track listing for ‘Christmas’ includes such classics as “White Christmas” with a guest appearance by fellow Canadian Shania Twain, “Jingle Bells” (with the Puppini Sisters), “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”, and “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”. In addition, Latin singing sensation Thalia joins Bublé on “Feliz Navidad”. Also included in the CD is a new song “Cold December Night”, a Bublé penned original written for the record. The first single from the record “All I Want For Christmas is You” will be released to radio in the coming days.
Brown Thomas is exclusively stocking a deluxe edition of “Christmas” for customers that includes three bonus tracks and a DVD featuring behind the scenes footage of the making of the album. This limited edition CD, is available now in Brown Thomas Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway and also BT2 Grafton Street, Dundrum and Blanchardstown. “Christmas” was produced by David Foster, Bob Rock and Humberto Gatica and was recorded in LA and Vancouver.
