Apple has toyed with gold colouring in the past, including a gold iPad Air 2, but this gold-plated iPad Air 2 is the real deal.
Vietnamese jeweler Karalux has started shipping out gold-plated iPad Air 2 devices. Of course, these devices aren’t for everyone. The 16GB model costs 25 million VND (or approximately $1,173 USD). Aside from the gold-plated covering, this iPad Air 2 is no different than the one that Apple sells for a more reasonable sum of money. But it is shinier.
It may not be 24K gold, but Apple released the iPad Air 2 in a gold colouring. No, it won’t make you stand out as someone who has money to burn, but it’s more affordable, more practical, and we’d say better looking than the gold-plated iPad Air 2. Of course, we would say that. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have some movies to watch on our commoner iPad Air 2.
