Acer announces 64-bit 4G smartphone

Acer brought its new, budget-friendly, 4G smartphone to CES this year. The Liquid Z410 will offer a mid-range Android experience, but supplements this with 4G compatibility.

The Acer Liquid Z410 packs a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6732 CPU and an ARM Mali-T760 GPU. It has a 4.5-inch qHD display with a resolution of 540x960 pixels. The handset features a 5 megapixel camera on its rear and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. Acer is yet to announce what version of Android the device will ship with. Naturally, we hope that it will arrive with Android 5.0.

Those are decent specs, but it’s the fact that it is 4G enabled that makes the Liquid Z410 so appealing. This ensures that users can get access to a superfast internet experience without splashing out for a costly smartphone.

The Acer Liquid Z410 will be released in Europe at the end of February. It will have a price tag of €129.
