today announced a series of powerful gaming laptops with the unveiling of the Alienware 14
, Alienware 17
and Alienware 18
systems. These systems, according to Alienware, feature a bold new design and extraordinary performance, uniquely engineered to deliver the ultimate gaming experience.
The Alienware 18 is pitched as the ultimate gaming laptop. It starts at €2,199 and sports an 18.4-inch Full HD display with a wide viewing angle and a 1,920x1,080 resolution. It also sports up to 32GB of RAM, and a hard drive with up to 1.5TB of storage. For the first time ever, the Alienware 18 will feature NVIDIA SLI dual graphics technology as standard, and the laptop will offer an overclocked CPU option with a maximum speed of 4.3GHz.
The Alienware 17 starts at €1,499 and has been designed to offer an immersive, graphics-intensive experience. It boasts a 17.3-inch screen with a resolution as high as 1,920x1,080, up to 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB hard drive. Finally, the Alienware 14 is a laptop for the enthusiast gamer, who is looking to combine mobility with functionality. It starts at €1249 and features a 14-inch screen (1,366x768 or 1,920x1,080 resolution), as much as 16GB of RAM, and up to a 512GB solid-state hard drive.
All three laptops will feature an iconic, angular design with an anodized aluminum shell and magnesium alloy body. Alienware has stated that the latest models will be extremely durable as a result of 60% of the main mechanical components being made of various metals. The keyboard is also secured by a reinforced plate to allow for more solid typing.
If you are interested in picking up one of these models and you’re looking for an extra bit of protection when on the move, Alienware also announced a line of Vindicator laptop bags, specifically designed to house them. The series includes a backpack, messenger bag, slim carrying case, briefcase and neoprene sleeve and is made of sturdy, weather-resistant materials.
