Amazon may open AR furniture stores

A new post from the New York Times suggests that technology giant Amazon may be considering opening a new type of store in the near future: an augmented reality furniture store.

Amazon’s AR furniture stores would use an augmented reality or virtual reality headset to give shopper’s the opportunity to see how a piece of furniture looks in their home before making a purchase.

In addition to the augmented reality furniture store, Amazon is also believed to be exploring the merits of opening an electronics store selling Amazon hardware and software.
