Android L will be rolled out to the Nexus 7 (2013), the original Nexus 7 (2012), Nexus 5, Nexus 4 and Nexus 10. Google originally announced the operating system for the Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 5, but the release of the source code means that these older handsets won’t be left out in the cold. We can’t say the same for the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or the Nexus S, which are being left behind due to their age.
Android L won’t actually launch on consumer devices until later this year. A September or October release looks most likely.
