Google has had a lot of annoucements this week - what with outing a new handset in the Nexus 6, a tablet in the Nexus 9 and confirming the name and features of their all new version of Android - that's Lollipop.
The new devices will be launching in November and they'll come preloaded with Lollipop. But when will other Nexus branded phones and tablets receive the update? According to a report, it could be as early as November 3rd.
Android Police reports that the Google Nexus 7 (2012 + 2013) and Nexus 10 Wi-fi only models will be getting their Lollipop on the 3rd of November. And older Nexus branded phones like the Nexus 4 and 5 should have the new software by the end of November.
Android Lollipop represents the biggest visual overhaul of the operating system in years, with a new design and features to unify the OS across various brands and manufacturers. Google also promises a refresh of how notifications work and a method in the software for getting at least another 90 minutes out of your phone or tablet.
It remains to be seen just how big a step forward Lollipop is and we're also being kept in suspense about the specific local release date and pricing for the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.
More as we get it.
