Android Lollipop now rolling out to Nexus devices

Android 5.0 Lollipop is rolling out on most Nexus devices, according to an announcement on the official Android Twitter account.

The Android Twitter account posted, “#AndroidLollipop rollout has started and will soon be available on most #Nexus devices. Dessert is served.“ The word “most” was quite ambiguous, but thankfully a discussion on the Google Product Forums cleared things up somewhat.

The update is rolling out to Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (both the 2012 and 2013 versions) and the Nexus 10. However, in the States, those with cellular versions of the Nexus 7 2012 and 2013 or the Nexus 4 will have to wait a little longer. The post on Google’s Product Forums also mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will not get an official update to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

It is worth noting that the process will take place in waves. Google says that it may take some customers up to three weeks to get the update. You may have to be patient.
