The last year or so may not have been RIM's finest, but the company has this week shown that it's still got some fight left in it as Vice President of Developer Relations Alec Saunders hit out at the Android market and its problems with piracy, calling it a "chaotic cesspool".
"Piracy is a huge problem for Android," he said. "And we don't want to duplicate the chaotic cesspool of the Android market."
While he's certainly correct in his evaluation of the current state of the Android scene, particularly from a developer's perspective, many people saw his comments as a swipe at the Android operating system itself, prompting Saunders to clarify via his comments later via Twitter, where he said "This isn't about Android."
