Android update stores offline Google searches

Google is releasing a new Android update for its Google app designed to make it easier to search the internet with a bad connection. The Google app will now store offline searches and deliver the results when your smartphone has a stronger signal.

Writing in a blog post, Google product manager Shekhar Sharad said “The Google app will work behind-the-scenes to detect when a connection is available again and deliver your search results once completed.”

The new offline search feature is expected to have minimal impact on data usage and battery power.
