Apple doesn't make ugly products. And it doesn't make cheap ones either. So it's not much of a surprise to hear that when it releases a book it's going to be neither of those things.
Designed by Apple in California is all about 20 years of Apple design through 450 stunning photos. And it costs 300 quid.
It's a visual history printed on specially milled German paper with gilded matte silver edges. It's been in the works for eight years and is bound in actual white linen. Because of course it is.
This is one of those coffee table books and actually does look rather lovely, maybe a gift for the Apple lover in your life - provided you're not short of cash. Design is a huge part of what the company does, and there's loads of information inside on the extensive prototyping and building work which goes into each device.
There's a smaller version available for around 200 quid as well, and the book is out now in select countries including the UK. It doesn't seem to be on the Irish site but with a little bit of work you should be able to order it from the UK, if you're interested.
