Apple reportedly working on Bluetooth-enabled Beats headphones

Apple’s plan for Beats includes Bluetooth-enabled headphones, according to a newly uncovered FCC filing.

The FCC documents show that Apple is developing a Bluetooth-enabled version of the Beats Solo2, which was released earlier this year. Other than that, it doesn’t appear that Apple wants to change much. Little has been altered aside from the addition of wireless capabilities.

Since Apple bought the company, there has been speculation over whether Beats headphones would utilise Apple's lightning connections. However, the new headphones will stick with a microUSB port.

Little is known regarding what Apple has planned for this partnership. Will there be future Beats headphones that are iOS exclusive? Will Apple’s branding even grace the headphones? Here’s hoping Apple detail details its plans soon.
