Apple is planning to host another unveiling event on October 21st where it will show off two new iPads and announce the release date of OS X Yosemite.
The report comes courtesy of The Daily Dot who spoke with sources familiar with the matter. It is expected that Apple will unveil the sixth generation of its iPad, likely to be the iPad Air 2, and the third edition of iPad mini, the iPad Mini 3.
The iPad Air 2 will utilise Apple’s latest A8 processor, may adapt NFC technology, and could be the company’s first tablet with a TouchID fingerprint scanner. A case was also recently spotted for the rumoured device, which featured a mysterious hole near the iPad's rear camera and lock button. It is uncertain what this will be used for, but theories suggest it has something to do with an improved camera.
Apple is also expected to announce a release date for OS X Yosemite, the next version of its Mac operating system.
