Leading up to its announcement, Asus promised that it was set to showcase the best looking Android Wear smartwatch to date. And the ZenWatch is certainly one of the more attractive smartwatches on the market.
The newly announced ZenWatch is a beauty and, while its focus is on style, that isn’t its only strength. It has an impressive set of components with a 1.6-inch AMOLED display, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, and the same Qualcomm processor that you’ll find in other Android Wear smartwatches.
As you may have come to expect from smartwatches, the ZenWatch serves as a personal wellness manager, counting the amount of steps you take, the number of calories you burn, how long you’re active for, how intense your exercise is, and what your relaxation level is.
Other features include Watch Unlock for automatic unlocking; Tap Tap and Find My Phone, both of which help you find the paired smartphone); Remote Camera; Cover to Mute, for incoming calls; and Presentation Control, which acts as a remote control and time manager.
The price is also right. The Asus ZenWatch will retail for approximately €199.
