BlackBerry getting access to Amazon app store this year
BlackBerry 10 owners are to get an injection of new apps later this year when more than 200,000 apps from Amazon's app store become available on the handset.

Access to Amazon’s app store will be made available to BlackBerry users in the fall as part of the BlackBerry 10.3 update. It means that when app developers work on something for Amazon, it will work on BlackBerry devices as well as Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablets and frequently rumoured smartphone.

BlackBerry hasn’t announced that it’s killing off its own store just yet, but the writing appears to be on the wall. BlackBerry is offering to help developers move their apps over to Amazon's store and wrote on its own blog that such a move would enable them to “quickly and easily reach a larger user base.”

Third-party apps will continue to be available from BlackBerry’s store, but music, movies, and TV shows will cease to be sold from July 21st. Keep an eye out for the BlackBerry 10.3 update and the addition of Amazon store apps.
