BlackBerry's version of Siri coming with BB10.3
BlackBerry’s own personal assistant, BlackBerry Assistant, will arrive with the BB10.3 update, though we don’t know when that is due.

Social Media Marketing lead and Editor Donny Halliwell wrote an Inside BlackBerry post that he’s been using BlackBerry Assistant for several weeks on the BlackBerry Passport. He said that BlackBerry users will be “pleasantly surprised at how accurate" it is.

Halliwell listed a few practical examples to show how useful BlackBerry Assistant was. He used it to be reminded about upcoming appointments, to send an “ever-so-romantic BBM note” hands-free, and even to get the lyrics to Soft Kitty, which Big Bang Theory fans know off by heart by now. Plus he was able to tell his phone to turn on the flashlight when hit with a power outage.

You can use either voice commands or type on the home screen to make requests of the app. Sounds like a useful addition to the BlackBerry OS. Now we just have to wait to find out when this update will arrive.
