Brazilian World Cup stadiums added to Street View
Google Maps users can now take a virtual tour of the 12 stadiums to be used during this year’s World Cup in Brazil along with the surrounding areas.

Street View imagery of the stadiums and neighbourhoods is now available with the tool pointing out points of interest too. The images may not capture the carnival atmosphere that will soon hit the streets, but it’s a more detailed stadium profile than you typically get at the very least. Just make sure that you know a stadium name or address, as the search function could be better.

Google did the same thing four years ago when the World Cup was held in South Africa. While you couldn’t hear the vuvuzelas that we now associate with the place, it was possible to utilise Street View in the host cities and the 10 stadiums that were used.

The World Cup kicks off on June 12th with hosts Brazil taking on Croatia.
