Canon announces two new superzoom bridge cameras
Canon today unveiled the PowerShot SX520 HS and PowerShot SX400 IS, two new lightweight, superzoom, bridge cameras.

The PowerShot SX520 HS features a 42x optical zoom, a 24mm wide-angle lens for flexibility, and its 1008mm maximum focal length lets you zoom in on detail in the distance. The PowerShot SX520 HS has a high-sensitivity 16 megapixel, back-illuminated CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 4+ processing engine for sharp and detailed results.

Meanwhile, the PowerShot SX400 IS packs a powerful 30x optical zoom and a 24-720mm focal range into a lightweight and compact body. It has a 16 megapixel CCD sensor and DIGIC 4+, designed to produce stunning results, each and every time.

The PowerShot SX520 HS also includes an improved Zoom Framing Assist Auto mode that automatically adjusts the zoom to maintain subjects at a pre-set size within the frame. And with a range of creative special effects, you can add a touch of creativity and style to any shot. The PowerShot SX400 IS also offers a range of Creative Filters, including Fisheye and Monochrome.

The PowerShot SX520 HS will be available in Ireland from August 2014 with an RRP of €359 and the PowerShot SX400 IS will be available in January exclusively from Argos with an RRP of €315.
