Microsoft has a new operating system on the way in the form of Windows 10, which is set to unify the system across desktop, mobile and more. We now know that Windows 10 is coming at the end of July, and rumours and circulating that it could coincide with the launch of a new flagship handset.
And we may know a little bit more about that handset today, as information has leaked about the Microsoft Lumia 940XL.
As the name suggests it's likely that the phone will feature a large display, rumoured at 5.7 inches. It could be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with 3 gigs of RAM and 32 gigs of storage.
That would put it in the top tier of the fastest handsets around, and performance should be blazingly speedy with the new operating system. We've also heard it will sport a 20 megapixel camera on the back and 5MP on the front as well as a microSD slot in a slim unibody design which will be quite a departure for the company.
This is all still a rumour at this early stage but expect official news on a flagship Microsoft handset soon.
