Classic mobile game Snake is back - but how will we play it without keys!?

A long, long time ago (in 1997 to be exact) a design engineer at Nokia called Taneli Armanto worked some magic and brought Snake to the Nokia 6110. And a legend was born.

It's a simple concept - move the dot, eat other dots and your line will get longer and don't crash. But it filled countless hours of our young (and not so young) lives throughout the years, including 3D updates all the way into the mid 2000s.

Now, Snake is back with an all new version coming to iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Check out the trailer for Snake Rewind.

Original creator Armanto has teamed up with Rumilus Design for the new take on the concept, which will include a varity of graphics types (including a classic mode) as well as power ups and the ability to rewind if happen to crash your snake, as per the title.

At the moment, it sounds like Snake Rewind is going to be free to play, with the now expected microtransactions built in to make your game easier or give you extra lives.

Check out Snake Rewind on iOS, Android and Windows Phone from the 14th of March 2015.
