Microsoft’s virtual personal assistant, Cortana, has been updated and can now assist you with life’s little choices.
After the update, Cortana can flip a coin or roll a die on command. All you have to say is, “flip a coin” or “roll the dice” respectively. It’s a small, but useful addition to Cortana’s capabilities. After all, how often have you been stuck with a 50-50 decision or needed to prioritise who goes first and don’t have a die to hand.
Cortana can also be used for more productive purposes, including making phone calls, entering appointments into your calendar and reminding you of them, composing messages, and getting information.
Microsoft’s virtual personal assistant is available to Windows Phone 8 users, and can be quite the life-saver at times. While she’s been one of the most intriguing elements of recent Windows Phone updates, she was omitted from Microsoft’s recent Windows 10 announcement. Many will be hoping that she gets the spotlight once more before the new OS launches next year.
