Drop test shows you may not want to drop LG G4

As soon as some people get a new device in their hands, the first thing that they try to do is wreck it. At least that saves the rest of us the trouble. The LG G4 was recently put through the humble drop test, showing us that we may want to keep a firm grip on it.

In a durability test carried out by TechRax, the LG G4 took a beating. It was first dropped from a height of five feet on its side. This left visible damage to one corner of the phone. The screen and back cover got away unscathed.

Things went downhill in the second test. It was dropped screen first and suffered as a result. The screen shattered and the leather back cover flew off. Despite all that, the display still worked.

While the LG G4’s drop test results weren’t great, they were a slight improvement on the G3’s. The LG G3 was left with an unusable screen after it was put to the test.

At least if you do drop the LG G4, it should still function to some degree.
