It’s fascinating to see how far the iPhone has come since its first release back in 2007. Not only has the design changed, but the specs have naturally improved. But thebest way to illustrate this is to put a range of devices side-by-side and see just how quick they are.
That’s exactly what YouTube channel EverythingApplePro did. They put the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus through a speed test alongside every device that would run the GeekBench 3 app. Unfortunately, that rules out the iPhone and the iPhone 3G, but it’s an interesting comparison nonetheless.
Raw specs only tell one side of the story, as showcased by this video. While every iPhone since the iPhone 5 has had 1GB RAM, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are significantly quicker than their predecessors. So, some numbers don’t tell the full story; a point to keep in mind the next time you are comparing handsets based solely on their specs.
