Have you ever thought to yourself that editing text on the
iPad is too slow and cumbersome?
Daniel Hooper has and he has developed a keyboard prototype to make things more straightforward and quicker. A video on
YouTube shows the keyboard in action with simple swipes used to move the cursor and select words. Hooper’s main issue with the iPad keyboard is that there are no arrow keys, which makes editing a bit more time consuming.
Hooper hopes to get the attention of Apple and has asked viewers of the video to help out. He has outlined the steps in the video description. It involves submitting a
bug report, and sending a letter outlining the features and benefits of this prototype. The video has been viewed almost 50,000 times in two days, so he is certainly mustering up some support.
