Facebook adds dynamic way to share photos

Facebook is giving users a more dynamic way to share a batch of photos and videos with a feature called Slideshow.

As the name implies, this feature creates a slideshow of photos and videos captured on your phone, which then plays on your timeline, making catching up with friends’ activities over the weekend a bit more interesting.

The app knows when you’ve taken five or more photos or videos in 24 hours and then presents a preview of it at the top of your News Feed. You can then share it or customise it before putting it out there for friends to enjoy.

There are ten themes to choose from, which alters how it looks and transitions between photos. Facebook promises that more themes are to be added in the future.

Facebook has tested this feature in a handful of countries and via its Moments app, but now it’s available to all users.
