Facebook adds world map for Live Video

Facebook adds world map for Live Video

The desktop version of Facebook has got a new addition called Live Video. This feature is listed in the Apps section of the menu on the left hand side of the website.

Clicking on it takes you to a world map where you can browse videos that are currently live. Blue dots represent Live videos and videos will play automatically in a thumbnail-sized window when you hover over one.

The sidebar on the left features a selection of Live videos, though it hasn’t been said how they are picked.

The video streaming feature was rolled out globally on mobile in February. Since then, Facebook has updated its apps to make the feature more prominent and enticing. Perhaps this rollout on desktop will help its uptake.
