Remember the announcement for Facebook Home back in April 2013. A fresh new suite for Android smartphones that granted easier access to posts, updates, photos, links etc and essentially turned your phone into a Facebook device.
Of course you don’t. You didn’t care. And why would you?
Well, with no real critical approval and nothing resembling activity on the, ahem, home-front for a long time now, it could be argued that Facebook itself has forgotten about Home. In face a recent New York Times report suggested the team of engineers responsible for the custom suite has since been disbanded.
However, Facebook was quick to tell The Verge that work on Home remains ongoing. This is in spite of the fact it hasn’t been updated in a half year. Facebook isn’t the type of company to come out and regard Home as a blunder. But if you read between the lines…
