Don’t worry; this time it sounds like Facebook’s News Feed is changing for the better. Facebook wants to make sure that you don’t miss updates from friends and will place them higher up in News Feed.
Users may not even notice the change, but there will be some differences. Facebook said that it is trying to make the balance of content right for each individual person. Content “posted directly by the friends you care about, such as photos, videos, status updates or links, will be higher up in News Feed so you are less likely to miss it."
The update also relaxes restrictions that limit you from seeing multiple posts from the same sources. More content can also be displayed if you run out of News Feed posts to read. The best thing about the update is that you’ll see fewer posts about friends liking or commenting on other posts. These will be placed lower down than friends' direct posts and posts from pages you've Liked.
Facebook said that the goal of News Feed is “to show you the content that matters to you.” It’s likely that Facebook will tinker with News Feed’s formula some more in the future, so don’t get too attached to the way things are after this update.
