Facebook Messenger gets native iPad version
Facebook has updated its Messenger service on iOS to make it compatible with the iPad.

This means that users can continue chat streams easily on their iPad rather than having to navigate the main Facebook app or resort to third-party apps. It works as the iPhone version does, for the most part; iPad users will miss out on certain features such as tap-and-hold video capture and the split-screen selfie mode.

They will get their hands on Messenger features such as stickers, easy group chat navigation, and VoIP calling. Most importantly, Messenger for iPad is functional. It features a multi-window interface showing a list of chat threads and your current conversation at the same time.

If you have both the Facebook and Messenger apps installed on your iPad, you can switch between the two with a single tap.

Version 7.0 also makes the app more reliable thanks to a variety of fixes, and enables videos shot in Messenger to be saved to your phone’s camera roll.
