Fitness Tracker for 10 Bucks Anyone?

You’d be forgiven for not knowing who eastern tech brand Xiaomi are. But if there’s any life in the activity tracker industry, soon you won’t be able to spit for seeing one of their brand spanking new €10 devices!

That figure is an approximation currently, as are the $12 and £7 tags respectively, though the presence of a fitness monitor, companion app, sleep tracker, sleep cycle alarm and Xiaomi smartphone pairing ability is more confirmed. Additionally, the Mi Band (that’s what it’s called by the way!) features 30 day battery life, IP67 ratings, an aluminium finish and interchangeable wrist straps.

Obviously, for ten bucks, the Xiaomi Mi Band runs the very real risk of being total garbage. But given it will retail at a price point orders of magnitude lower than its nearest competitor, it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on!
