Flexible smartphone displays could hit market by September
Both LG and Samsung ventured into the realm of curved displays last year, but reports suggest that both are hoping to go one step further with flexible displays this year.

Reports from South Korea, as spotted by DigiTimes, claim that both Samsung and LG are expected to release smartphones with 5-inch flexible displays as soon as September. This comes from a Korean-language DigitalTimes report that cites sources from the panel industry.

Samsung is expected to utilise three-sided display technology, while LG’s device is tipped to feature QHD resolution with a pixel density of 510ppi. Time will tell how reliable this report is; for the moment, it sounds too good to be true.
