The former frontman of Sex Pistols, John Lydon, otherwise known as "Johnny Rotten," revealed that he’s spent over £10,000 on iPad apps.
He told The Telegraph that he has wasted a lot of money on apps in the last couple of years. When asked what his most extravagant purchase was, Lydon responded: “I wasted – you’re the first to know this – 10,000 f‑‑‑‑‑‑ pounds in the last two years on apps on my iPad. I got into Game of Thrones, Game of War, Real Racing, and I just wanted to up the ante.”
He battled with his spending and told The Telegraph that he “didn’t check myself.” He added, “But there's a kid in me, see? A bit of my childhood was taken from me and I’m determined to bring it back.”
Lydon isn’t really a big spender. He said, “I’m not a bloke who wants a Ferrari in the garage. If I want to drive a Ferrari I’ve got PlayStation.” But yet, apps managed to get their hooks into him and it can be very difficult to fall down that rabbit hole and feel that ‘Just one purchase won’t do any harm.’ Make sure you set a limit on your spending.
