Samsung is preparing to release its slimmest smartphone yet, the Galaxy A7, which is just 6.3mm thick.
The report comes courtesy of Chinese certification agency TENAA, which measures the Galaxy A7 at 150.9x75.9x6.3mm. It also mentions that the device will have a 5.5-inch 1920x1080p resolution display. This reinforces previous rumours from GFXBench and the FCC.
Internally, the Samsung Galaxy A7 will feature an octa-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB storage space. It is also expected to have a 12 megapixel front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel rear-camera.
The Galaxy A7 is sure to be pocket-friendly at the very least. You have to wonder just how thin the South Korean manufacturer can make its phones. Its previous best was 6.7mm with the Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy A5. And yet, Samsung keeps trimming its smartphones with each release.
