While Goat Simulator may have started life as a joke, it’s being taken much more seriously now and has made its way from PC to mobile.
The title is now available on both Android and iOS, though it was meant to be published later. Goat Simulator was originally slated for a September 18th release, but Swedish developer Coffee Stain Studios just couldn’t resist hitting the publish button, apparently. PR Manager Armin Ibrisagic explained, “We couldn't stay off that "publish" button. It's out RIGHT now!”
In Goat Simulator, players control a goat…but not any old goat; one that runs amuck in a city and causes destruction in an effort to rack up a high score. It’s an experimental game, of sorts, but gained a cult following on PC. Now, Coffee Stain Studios aims to bring the joy of being a humble goat to even more players.
