Google hosting UK's first ever live ad break during Friday's Alan Carr show
Google wants to make waves with its Play Music store, and what better way to do so than by broadcasting the first ever live ad break in the UK.

A 3 minute ad break during Alan Carr’s Friday night chat show on Channel 4 will be used to broadcast a performance of Sam Smith's Safe With Me track from a concert at London's Roundhouse venue in Camden. Naturally, Sam Smith is a little nervous about the performance. According to the performer, the timing has to be perfect.

Brands are beginning to experiment with alternative types of ad breaks. LEGO previously took over ITV’s ad slots in February with advertisements for Confused.com, BT Infinity, and Premier Inn, all recreated in LEGO form.

Tune into Alan Carr’s Chatty Man on Friday night on Channel 4 to catch Google’s live ad break with Sam Smith.
